(FRISCO, TX—September 12, 2016) The Frisco Family YMCA is making it easier to keep your family moving this fall. Take advantage of membership and personal training discounts, as well as CPR and babysitting classes, group exercise classes, youth sports, Adventure Guides and Parent’s Night Out.

Join the Y for $10

Join the Y this September and your Joiner's Fee is only $10. Join a team, join a class, join new friends. Get active, get healthy, get involved. There's something for everyone at the Y.

Parents’ Night Out

Let your little ones join us for crazy games, fun times, movie and pizza while you enjoy a date night. We're offering Parents Night Out from 6 to 10pm Saturday, September 24th.

PNO is open to ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. The kids play games, have adventures, make crafts, watch a movie and more in a safe and fun environment. Drinks and dinner included! Bring a friend along, too - make it twice as nice!

The cost is $22 (member rate); $18 per additional child. Nonmembers welcome, too! The non-member rate is $27, and $23 per additional child.

CPR and Babysitting Classes

CPR Class is a Heartsaver course geared towards the general public and is not for nurses or other people who may need a Healthcare provider class. Students will learn basic First Aid and CPR for infants, children, and adults.

The Frisco Y’s Babysitting Training Class can also be scheduled for Girl Scout Troops and youth groups for personal sessions. First Aid and CPR basics will be covered, but not certified.

First Aid and Babysitting classes are held the third Saturday of every month. Our next Babysitting Course is Saturday, October 15th from 9:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a First Aid/CPR course from 1 to 4:30pm

Youth Sports

Winter basketball registration opens September 15th!

Coaches meetings will be held the first week of November, with the season beginning December 3. There will be a winter break December 17-December 31. The preschool season ends January 28, the recreation season ends February 11 and there is a competitive tournament February 18.

All divisions younger than 8 years old (PreK - 7u) are coed. Divisions for 8-12 years old will have divisions for both girls and boys.

Fall Small Fry Classes (3-5 yrs) These are scheduled 45 minute classes on Saturdays for boys and girls ages 3-5. The goal of this program is to teach the basics of team sports such as T-Ball, Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball and much more. YMCA Coaches teach these classes that are a building block for kids to then join the league format games.

Held at the Frisco Family YMCA, there are four sessions each. Cost is $38 for Y members, $59 for non-members. Register now for soccer in September. Basketball will be taught in October and football in November.

Adventure Guides & Princesses

The Adventure Guide and Princess programs for Grades K-3 aims to strengthen the bond between fathers and their children through activities that allow them to spend quality time together. The program involves community, nature, family and fun. The Guide and Princess program builds memories that will last a lifetime.

Registration for the fall campout is open. The campout at Camp Classen in Davis, Oklahoma is Oct. 21-23. Visit the Frisco Family YMCA website to register and see the schedule of events for 2016-17.

It’s a complimentary appointment to learn how you can get started in at the Y.

You still have time to take advantage of the Find Your Fit Personal Training Special. Available through September 19, if you buy 12 sessions you get 1 free, and if you buy 24 sessions you get 2 free. You can check it our here, but you must drop by the Y to sign up.

Group Classes

With a YMCA membership, the Frisco Family YMCA offers a variety of free, group exercise classes to help members reach their fitness goals. Our updated Group Exercise Schedule offers more opportunities and more time slots for group exercise classes like our new INSANITY™!

In addition to INSANITY™ now offered Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30am, the Frisco Family YMCA has three other new group workout options – Hitt Fusion offered Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15-6:00am; Core Express offered Tuesday and Thursday from 8-8:25am; and Step class offered on Wednesdays from 5:15-6:00am.
