YMCA welcomes local teachers to prayer breakfast

The J.E.R. Chilton YMCA cordially invites ALL teachers from Rockwall and Heath area schools to a Teacher Prayer Breakfast in their honor. The event is also open to the public for community members who want to celebrate their teachers.

The breakfast will be a time of encouragement and prayer and feature Rockwall ISD Superintendent Dr. John Villarreal and his wife Kim speaking about “Walking with God” and how faith has helped guide them through personal challenges.

The event will begin at 7 a.m. on August 4 at the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA, located at 1210 N Goliad St, Rockwall, TX. There will be steaming hot plates of delicious breakfast food from Preston Hollow Catering and drawings for prizes, which include YMCA annual memberships.

Executive Director of J.E.R. Chilton YMCA at Rockwall Bonnie LaVielle said the YMCA staff embraces this opportunity to show teachers in the community how much they are appreciated.

“We think it is important to pray every year for our teachers and children that they will have God’s protection,” LaVielle said. “It is so important that we lift our teachers up and let them know we are so thankful for the impact they make on our children and our community.”

Seating is limited for this event, so RSVP today!
