August 13, 2014 – Registration is underway for the Plano Family YMCA 2014-15 Preschool Program, which begins Tuesday, Sept. 2. Big things are planned this year with a re-vamped curriculum, as well as new curriculum specials.

 

Children age 3 to 5 will enjoy lessons in arts and crafts; science; math and counting; story time; pre-phonics; character building; letters; colors and shapes; weather and seasons; calendars; Spanish; nutritional components and sign language.

 

The goal of the Plano Family YMCA Preschool Program is to provide the kind of environment and influence that encourages all children to become creative, independent and responsible students who can make positive choices for themselves.

 

The program runs 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, with post-care from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Drop off begins at 7:45 a.m.  A three day option (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) is available. The Preschool Program follows the Plano ISD calendar for holidays.

 

The Plano Family YMCA is located at 3300 McDermott in Plano, 75025.
