RYCA Board Members, Coaches & Parents,
This is an exciting time to be part of the RYCA Rockwall Youth Community Athletics organization. We reorganized our RYCA board to ensure we are positioned for continued success as board members and volunteers move on to middle school. We are also launching our new RYCA Youth Sports website at http://rycayouthsports.com. All future RYCA announcements and organizational collateral will be located there. We will also do a better job of communicating via email and leveraging real-time social media platforms with Facebook and Twitter. We will also have monthly RYCA meetings to ensure we all stay connected to all activities within the RYCA. Our next RYCA meeting is Sunday, March 2nd from 5:30-7:00 at the Rockwall Tom Thumb.
RYCA Organization:
From an organizational perspective the RYCA is a standalone organization similar to the HHCA Heath Hawks Community Athletics. The RYCA and HHCA organizations are not affiliated with the Rockwall YMCA. For the Fall 2014 Season you will not register through the YMCA. All eligible RYCA coaches who coached last year will be returning including new coaches with teams because of the huge interest. If you want to coach, let us know ASAP because we will have training classes to get you certified.
The Fall 2014 season registrations will be handled through our respective RYCA and HHCA organizations. We will work with the RISD and will play on the same fields as last year. The RYCA fully supports Rockwall HS Yellowjackets football. All RYCA coaches will be USA Football safety certified and also attend a coaches clinic put on by the Rockwall HS coaching staff. Everyone involved with the kids will also need to have background checks to ensure the safety of all kids within the RYCA.
Fall 2014 Season Registration Information:
We are using the Sports Security sign-up registration system. This is a secured registration system that was also used by the City Rockwall Baseball and Softball organization.
On February 24th we are kicking off our RYCA Football and Cheer registrations. Visit our new website at http://rycayouthsports.com and select [Programs] or [Register Now] buttons to register.
The registration dates are listed below:
- Registration: February 24th thru May 31st
- Kids moving districts after sign-ups will enter team of their old district. (no exceptions)
Football Fees
- $125 registration fee (required to complete registration)
- Plus 10 free fundraising cards (every card you sell is worth $10) first come first serve, This money goes back in your pockets not ours. So you make back $100 off your registration.
- $100 uniform fee (fees not due at time of registration)

Note: This is not part of the YMCA
Fees help fund our football fields, yard markers, tournaments, and inflatable tunnels.
Cheer Fees
The RYCA will offer Yellowjackets football camps again this year along with the Rockwall HS game day tunnel runs, participate in all Rockwall parades to help develop our boys and girls become future football jackets and cheerleaders.
