The Rockwall-Heath Highstepper Officers competed this past weekend (March 18-19) at the American Dance/Drill Team National/International Competition in Denton, TX.  They were named Best of the Best of all the officer teams that competed.   They were named Super Team National Champions and National Champions in the Jazz, Open and Contemporary categories.  They also received the Gussie Nell Davis Award of Excellence.  What a great ending to an incredible year for our Highstepper Officers!  The Highsteppers are under the direction of Monica Lyon and assisted by Anna Blair.

Some of the Highstepper officers also competed with their solos and received National Champion Finalist recognition:  Shawnee Gillham – 2^nd Runner Up, Taylor Transou – 3^rd Runner Up, and McKenzie Bryant – 4^th Runner Up.
