Rockwall MusicFest, production arm of The Greater Rockwall Philharmonic Orchestra, is thrilled to announce the orchestra’s 2013 guest conductor, Michael J. Manley.

Manley received his Bachelor of Music degree from Hardin Simmons University and his Master’s degree in Music from Southwestern Theological Seminary. He did advanced study, in conducting, with internationally known conductor, Dr. James Jordan at Westminster Choir College and served as a music consultant and teacher in Zimbabwe, Africa. For the past 23 years, Manley has served the First Baptist Church of Rockwall as Minister of Music and Worship.

This talented man will lead The Greater Rockwall Philharmonic Orchestra in “A Toast To Musical America” on August 31, 8 p.m. at The Harbor. The annual event is free to the public in cooperation with The City of Rockwall.
