10-21 Hawk and Yellowjacket Sportscenter Update

The Rockwall Yellowjackets are back on track in District 11-6A with a 45-38 victory over Mesquite Horn on Friday. The Jackets are now 2-2 in District 11-6A and are tied for 3rd place. Head Coach Rodney Webb says his team is peaking at the right time of the season. The combined record of teams Rockwall has faced this season is 38-10. Rockwall will travel one final time to east Texas this Friday night to take on the Tyler Lee Red Raiders. They last faced the Red Raiders in 2015 and won 65-35 en route to their second straight district championship. A Yellowjacket win would launch them into a possible tie for second place as they have a tiebreaker against one loss John Tyler. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

The Rockwall-Heath Hawks did not have a good outing this past Friday night against John Tyler. They fell to the Lions 48-0. The Hawks will look to straighten their wings out this Friday night at home against Mesquite. The Hawks are currently tied for 3rd place at 2-2 in District 11-6A and continue to control their own destiny. Head Coach Mickey Moss calls this game an almost “must win” for his squad on Friday night. A win would make the Hawks 3-2 with district leading Longview coming to town next week. The Hawks will kick off at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
