Jones Elementary students attended assemblies featuring James Wand.  Mr. Wand’s assemblies were filled with magic tricks and entertainment.

Each presentation had a lesson embedded into the performance that focused on how to make school a bully free zone.

Some of the topics Mr. Wand covered were the types of bullying that may occur: teasing, exclusion and physical.  The presentation was fun and lighthearted and kept the students engaged the entire time.

Throughout the day, he also explained how students can use certain strategies to deal with bullying if they find themselves in or around that kind of situation.  Every student in the school was able to watch his performance and left with a lot to think about.

This wonderful experience was made possible by the Jones PTA, which funded his visit.
