Instead of using traditional methods of teaching students about Texas history, Ms. Laudermilk at Williams Middle School decided to introduce some technology to engage students.

She gave her 7th graders a simple assignment: convince your classmates who is the Texas explorer who had the most impact on Texas using Google Slides.

That assignment may not have been quite as exciting without the technology component. As a result, the students enjoyed it and stayed engaged throughout.
