Over 2,000 people filled the auditorium at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall to attend the annual Rockwall Independent School District Convocation on Monday, August 17. New and returning teachers, administrators and employees were joined by the Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees and numerous business and community leaders to kick-off a new school year.

Keynote speaker Doug Lipp provided an inspirational message to the audience. Mr. Doug Lipp once worked for Disney, a name we all associate with premier vacation destinations. He is also the author of Disney U: How Disney University develops the world’s Most Engaged, Loyal and Customer-Centric Employees. He spoke about his Disney experiences but also shared many positive strategies for traveling the journey toward greatness!
