The Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) and its student honorary organization, the International Thespian Society, are pleased to announce the participation of Cain Middle School’s Thespian troupe #89170 in Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat. Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat is a national community service program for ITS-member schools to collect canned and dry goods for local charities and food banks.
Theatre students from Cain Middle School will be collecting cans on campus Sept. 3 – Oct. 28, 2015. On Oct. 28, Theatre students dressed in costumes will deliver food donations. These donations will go to benefit Rockwall Helping Hands. Thousands of pounds of food will be collected across the state, giving organizations the ability to feed thousands of local people.

Founded in 1929, The International Thespian Society (ITS), is an honorary organization for high school and middle school theatre students. There are more than 3,900 affiliated secondary schools across America, Canada, and abroad. The mission of ITS is to honor student achievement in the theatre arts. High school inductees are Thespians and junior high/middle school inductees are known as Junior Thespians. ITS is the student honorary organization of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA).
