LOCAL MIDDLE SCHOOL THEATRE STUDENTS VOLUNTEER TO TRICK OR TREAT BECAUSE HUNGER IS A VERY SCARY THING
Cain Middle School and Rockwall-Heath High School Theater students helped collect canned food donations, weighing 584 pounds, in the recent Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat Campaign. Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat is a national community service program for International Thespian Society (ITS) member schools to collect canned and dry goods for local charities and food banks.
The donations will help fill the shelves at the Rockwall County Helping Hands food pantry right before the holiday season.
Students collected donations on campus. Continued donations are welcome at the Rockwall County Helping Hands.
About the International Thespian Society
Founded in 1929, The International Thespian Society (ITS), is an honorary organization for high school and middle school theatre students. There are more than 3,900 affiliated secondary schools across America, Canada, and abroad. The mission of ITS is to honor student achievement in the theatre arts. High school inductees are Thespians and junior high/middle school inductees are known as Junior Thespians. ITS is the student honorary organization of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA).
