Rockwall ISD, along with RISD Education Foundation, held its first Elementary Robotics Tournament and Showcase at Rockwall High School. Rockwall ISD is expanding on the already established robotics programs at the high schools by adding them at elementary and middle schools.

Teams are coached by campus staff, parent volunteers and mentors. There were 29 teams that competed from nine elementary schools: 19 competition teams, 8 showcase teams and 2 teams observing & learning.

There were also many volunteers from RHS and RHHS robotics teams and RISD Education Foundation.

Some teams will go on to compete in sanctioned VEX IQ events. The next one is at RHHS Saturday, December 17th.
