Springer Elementary Instructional Coach Sabrina West represented Rockwall ISD at the 2016 Teaching Learning Coaching Conference presented by Corwin in early November.

Corwin had a total of 10 nationwide scholarships available for teachers and or/administrators currently employed at schools and districts that have already implemented High-Impact Instruction as presented by Jim Knight through Corwin.

Jim Knight is the leader in instructional coaching and has written many books, conducts coaching institutes and is a research associate at the University of Kansas.

Mrs. West was chosen to receive a scholarship based on her essay about her journey with High-Impact Instruction. She will also be writing a blog about her conference experience for Corwin.

During the conference Mrs. West was able to meet with Jim Knight and discuss how his books on Instructional Coaching have helped develop her skills into her role as an instructional coach in Rockwall ISD.

Mrs. West looks forward to applying her new knowledge and skills by promoting teacher growth and excellence at Springer Elementary.
