A new Rockwall ISD website will debut January 5, prior to the start of classes for the second semester of the 2016-2017 school year.

The launch of the new website is another step toward increasing communication with parents, staff and community members. The website is easy to use, informative, mobile-responsive and has many useful tools for parents.

Some highlights of the new website include:

• Individual school websites that follows the same template as the district site. All of the school sites can be accessed easily by clicking on “select a school” at the top of the district page.

• Readily visible shortcuts to key areas such as employment opportunities, an anonymous tip line, social media accounts and more.

• A slideshow that will showcase great stories happening across the district, which will be updated daily.

• ‘Top Stories and Announcements” section that will host daily updates with all sorts of great Rockwall ISD information and stories.

• A robust calendar that gives visitors the ability to subscribe to any or all of the calendars and have them sync to your smart phone. This is done by selecting the green ical icon located in the top right of the calendar page.

The website will continue to be developed through the remaining school year and a free mobile app is expected to be available to parents later in spring 2017.
