The Reinhardt Elementary second grade took a ride aboard The Polar Express with a special guest, Principal Kaylene Lavene.

The second-grade students have been doing an author study for the past two weeks, reading several of Chris Van Allsburg’s books.

Mrs. Lavene read The Polar Express, Van Allsburg’s popular holiday book about a boy’s adventure aboard a train headed to the North Pole, to the entire second grade as a treat to cap off the study.

The students will also enjoy a pajama day and a viewing of the movie.
