Sterling National Financial Group, LLC has announced that Jessica Applegate, a teacher at Rockwall High School, has been nominated for the Sterling Shining Star Award.   The new annual award program recognizes public school district employees.  The Sterling Shining Star can be awarded to any full-time staff member at a public school with the winners receiving a $10,000 cash award to be split between them and their school.

The ideal candidate is someone who positively impacts the lives of students, exemplifies excellence, demonstrates community leadership, and goes above and beyond professional responsibilities.
