Fifth Grader, Marcus Stencel, at Doris-Cullins Lake Pointe Elementary wins second place in the state for his poster entered into the Sons of The American Revolution poster contest. His poster was about George Washington’s role in the American Revolution. Marcus received $150 from the State Society of The Sons of the American Revolution. The Sons of The American Revolution is a non-profit local organization that maintains and expands the meaning of patriotism, respect for our national symbols, the value of American Citizenship, and the unifying force of “e pluribus unum” that was created from the people of many nations- one nation and one people. Way to go Marcus, Rockwall ISD is so proud of you!
