The 8th Grade Cain Mustang Dancers competed in the ADTS North Texas Regional Contest on Saturday, February 6th at Rockwall-Heath High School.

The team won many awards including:
– 1st Runner up Best in Class (Middle Schools)
– Sweepstakes Award (Division I Rating in all dances)
– Gussie Nell Davis Award (90 or above from every judge on all dances)
– Judges Award for Hoop Routine and Novelty Routine (strong presentation with 93 or above from every judge)
– Best Overall Technique for Middle School Division

Several 7th and 8th grade team members won awards in the Middle School Solo or Duet Division:
– Olivia and Scarlett Hanvey won First Place in Duets with a dance another director described as “like one girl dancing in front of a mirror.”
– Emmy Wade (7th grade Lieutenant) was 1st runner up in Solos.
– Chloe Holliman (7th grade 1st Lieutenant) was 2nd runner up in Solos.
– Scarlett Hanvey  also won 4th runner up for her solo in the Junior Private division.
