The Texas Restaurant Association announced Chef Cody Hayes, as the 2014 Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation Educator Excellence Award recipient.

The Educator Excellence Award is awarded to an educator who has made significant contributions to culinary education. This is shown through both, dedication to their students and a strong existence in their community using the Texas ProStart Curriculum.

The Educator Excellence Award was presented to Mr. Hayes at the 2014 TRA President’s Gala on Sunday, June 22.

Mr. Hayes states, “I am humbled to have been their choice for the Educator Excellence Award and I am extremely proud of our students.”

Cody Hayes has taught at Rockwall High School for five years. Rockwall ISD is proud of Mr. Hayes and is honored to have him working for our District.
