The 6th grade students of D.S.Pullen Elementary were the featured exhibit at Artists’ Gallery on the Square last Saturday, May 24th. The event, entitled ART SQUARED!, was made possible by the Arts Alliance and the owners of the gallery. Sixth graders created works of art that reflected a culture they had studies throughout the year in their Social Studies class. These pieces were then all judged by local professional artist, Joetta Currie. All 119 pieces of art sold in a silent Giving Auction with all proceeds to be given to the Boys & Girls Club of Rockwall to stock the Art Room with art supplies. On Wednesday, June 4th, the Pullen 6th graders will present a check to the Boys & Girls Club leadership, with Leadership Rockwall, the artists and judge, and Dr. Shelley Garrett on hand to help celebrate the culmination of this year’s Pullen 6th Grade Global Community Service Project.
