After studying features of non-fiction text, Cullins-Lake Pointe 2nd graders got a visit from a very special author,  Dr. Brady Barr, author of National Geographic Kids~Crocodile Encounters as well as many other books about reptiles.  Dr. Barr’s books stem from  his life’s work to study and protect some of the world’s most dangerous and endangered land animals—alligators and crocodiles.  Much of this work was done as he hosted television series for National Geographic, most notably “Dangerous Encounters”.

Brady shared many of his exciting adventures and information with our 2nd graders during his visit.  Dr. Barr was in town to participate in an event at the Dallas World Aquarium, Crocotoberfest.
