Downtown Rockwall is one of my new favorite places to shop, eat, and hang out with friends!

The Downtown Rockwall area also known as “Main Street” has experienced a major comeback… thanks to several factors including a public and private partnership to improve the experience for visitors.  Many of the buildings in the square were constructed in the 1800’s and early 1900’s.  The new direction is shaped by the Main Street Advisory committee.  If you are interested in joining the committee, you can apply here.

The revitalization began with a $8.6 million improvement project which improved several areas of Downtown Rockwall.  If you would like more information on the capital improvements, you can follow this link.

If you want to see more of Downtown Rockwall, be sure to watch my video below as I tour the area.  I (Tamara Fisher) am a real estate agent/Realtor® serving clients in Rockwall, Heath, Fate, McLendon-Chisholm, and Royse City.

There are many great dining experiences in Downtown Rockwall including a quick bite and fine dining.  The Book Club Cafe has a fantastic vibe and is a great place to connect with friends.  In fact, human connection is a core value for the BCC as stated on their website, “Our goal is to create an environment where everyone can escape and belong. Being included in a group is a basic need for human connection.”

If it is a hot day, be prepared to wait in line for the refreshing and sweet treat from Chills 360.  The new addition to the Downtown Rockwall square is a fan favorite and features many crowd pleasing delights.

One of my favorite places to visit is Zanatas, which is known for their AMAZING wood fire pizzas.  Their hand-tossed pies are baked in a 900° wood oven. Their chefs then top them with organic ingredients, local produce and imported cheeses. Everything is cooked to perfection 100% in their wood fire oven.

Fatted Calf is another Downtown Rockwall favorite.  They are best known for their brunch experiences.  The Fatted Calf is a comfortable, upscale restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. Special dinners and evening events take place throughout the year. Daily specials are offered and feature only the freshest, seasonal ingredients.  The genesis of the restaurant came from the need for a high quality, comfortable dining establishment in Rockwall.

Bin 303 is just off the square but in the Downtown Rockwall area situated in a 1920’s craftsman historic home right off the town square Bin 303 takes food and wine to the next level and never forgets that guests utmost satisfaction is top priority. From the time guests enter their doors they are provided ultimate dining experience through a warm atmosphere, great food and impeccable service.  One of my favorite days is Tuesday’s for the $10 gourmet burgers!  Now let’s take a look at Shopping!

There is a ton of great shopping in the Downtown Rockwall square.  I have visited many of the boutiques in the Downtown Rockwall area including Bauble & Chain (recent addition), Groovy’sHazel & OliveMR Apparel by MamaRueNo. 9 Couture, Poe & Arrows, Southern RootsSteeli Beans Children’s BoutiqueThe Pink Dresser, and more.
