Springtime has already begun to blossom at the Frisco Family YMCA as kids get ready for what’s ramping up to be a stellar Spring sports season.

Registration is underway through Sunday, Feb. 22 for Spring Basketball, Spring Soccer, Spring Flag Football and Cheer. Games start March 21. Here’s the line-up:

Spring Basketball

The recreational league is open to ages 5-12. The Member Rate is $84 / Activity Rate $119. Practice begins March 16 at Frisco ISD schools. A coach's meeting is set for 6:30pm March 3. The 8-game season begins Saturday, March 21. Games are played on Saturdays at Frisco ISD schools. 

The Frisco Y also offers Pre-K Basketball for ages 3-5. The Member Rate is $64 / Activity Rate $79. Practice begins March 16 at Frisco ISD schools. A coach's meeting is set for 6pm March 3. The 6-game season will begin on Saturday, March 21. Games will be played on Saturdays at Frisco ISD schools.

Spring Soccer

Frisco Y youth soccer is a progressive program, with multiple age-specific levels for kids ages 4-12. Every child gets to play games in a safe, exciting and fun atmosphere. We encourage fair play, positive competition and family involvement. The Member Rate is $73 / Activity Rate $99. The season runs March 21-May 16. A coach's meeting is set for 6pm Feb. 26. Soccer games will be played on Saturdays at Frisco YMCA fields.

The Frisco Y also offers Pre-K Soccer for ages 3 & 4. The Member Rate is $58 / Activity Rate $73. The season runs March 21-May 16. A coach's meeting is set for 6pm February 24. Preschool soccer games are played on Saturdays at Frisco YMCA fields.

Spring Flag Football

Spring Flag Football at the Frisco Family YMCA is open to kids ages 5-12 - and the time to register is NOW! The Member Rate is $77 / Activity Rate $105. The season runs March 21-May 16. A coach's meeting is set for 6:30pm Feb. 26. Games will be played on Saturdays at Frisco YMCA fields.

Spring Cheerleading

Cheerleading at the Frisco Y offers girls the chance to get active and have some fun cheering. Cheerleaders build self-confidence and self-esteem while developing social skills and healthy relationships with other girls. Learn the fundamentals of cheerleading including basic motions, jumps, cheers and chants. Cheer is open to ages 5 to 13 years old. Practices are 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Frisco Y. Games are played on Saturday at Frisco Y fields, March 21-May 16. The Member Rate is $89/season or $116/season for Non-Members.

CPR & Babysitting Classes

In addition to Spring Sports, the Frisco Family YMCA offers a variety of other programs, including the Heartsaver CPR course, which teaches basic First Aid and CPR for infants, children and adults. Teens looking to jump ahead of other babysitters in their neighborhood may take the Babysitting Training Class. The Frisco Y can also schedule Girl Scout Troops and other youth groups for personal sessions.

First Aid and Babysitting classes are held the third Saturday of every month. The Frisco Y’s next babysitting class will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a First Aid/CPR course from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 21. 

Livestrong Cancer Survivorship Fitness Program

The Frisco Y offers a 12-week Livestrong Cancer Survivorship Fitness Program, led by nationally certified personal trainers who understand post-rehab exercise, nutrition and supportive cancer care. The program is FREE to cancer survivors. Also provided is a FREE 3-month family membership to the Frisco Family YMCA. Program participants meet twice a week for 12 weeks.
